1. What We Collect

We only collect what's necessary to run the platform and improve your experience. Nothing extra.

Account Data

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone (optional)
  • State / jurisdiction (optional)
  • Bar number (optional)
  • Password (encrypted — we can't see it)

Case & Document Data (user-uploaded)

  • Court filings
  • Pleadings
  • Exhibits
  • Notes
  • Hearing details
  • Legal strategies you input

You choose what to upload. You control your data.

AI-Generated Work

  • Drafts
  • Templates populated with your info
  • Analysis summaries
  • Saved search results (legal research)

Usage & Device Data

  • Pages accessed
  • Buttons clicked
  • Device type and OS
  • IP address
  • Crash logs
  • Authentication tokens

Payment Data

Handled exclusively by Stripe and App Store/Google Play.

We never see full card numbers or bank info.

2. What We Do NOT Do

We do NOT:

  • Sell your data
  • Share case files with courts
  • Give your info to the opposing party
  • Allow government access without valid legal process
  • Train AI models on your identifiable content

Your legal fight stays your legal fight.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use data to:

  • Authenticate your login
  • Generate AI legal documents at your request
  • Improve features and functionality
  • Provide billing, credits, and subscriptions
  • Recommend tools relevant to your case
  • Prevent fraud or abuse

We do not make decisions on your behalf in real life.
AI output = your tool, never a verdict.

5. Data Storage & Security

Where: Encrypted U.S.-based servers

How: Encryption in transit + encryption at rest

We take security deadly seriously —
but no digital system is invincible.

If a breach happens:

  • We notify affected users
  • We mitigate aggressively

6. Data Retention

7. Children's Data

LawFair is not for minors.
You must be 18+ to use the Platform.

If a minor signs up, the account will be deleted.

8. Third-Party Services

We rely on secure, trusted partners:

  • Stripe (billing)
  • Supabase (auth + storage)
  • Apple / Google (mobile distribution)
  • CourtListener (legal research data)
  • AI providers (document drafting, analysis)

Using LawFair means accepting their terms too.

9. International Users

If you access LawFair outside the U.S.:

  • Your data will still be stored in the U.S.
  • U.S. privacy laws apply

You must ensure your use complies with local regulations.

10. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data
  • Update or correct info
  • Export your documents
  • Delete your account entirely

We don't make rights vague — you own your case data.

If we update terms:

  • We post the new version
  • If changes are major, we notify you directly

Continuing to use LawFair means you accept the update.
